How to connect to SFTP?

General Information

To browse, edit, or upload files to your Minecraft server using the FTP protocol, you will need a program that supports SFTP. The two most popular SFTP programs are:
WinSCP – WinSCP website (https://winscp.net/eng/download.php) (recommended)
Filezilla – Filezilla website (https://filezilla-project.org/download.php?type=client)
All necessary login details (host, port, username, password) can be found in the Server Settings tab.

1. Go to the Server Settings tab, where you will find a window with SFTP connection details.
2. Click the show button next to the password and copy the displayed password.
3. Press the CONNECT TO SFTP button.
4. If a prompt appears asking to launch WinSCP, check the box ✅ and click Open WinSCP.
5. In the new connection window, paste the password into the appropriate field and then click OK.
6. Congratulations! You are connected to the server via SFTP: • On the left side, you see files from your own computer, • On the right side, you see files on the server, • Simply drag files from one side to the other to transfer between your computer and the server.

You can now freely transfer files between IceHost and your computer! ❤
